Developer quickstart: your first phone lookup
Start with a test API key, make a single-number LRN request, understand optional products and pricing, then move to live requests.
How do I make my first request?
Create a test API key from your account and use Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Test keys return fixed sandbox samples. Start with the single-number example below, then add only the products you need.
When should I switch to live data?
After confirming your request handling against sandbox samples, use a live key and a funded wallet for live lookups. Keep keys on your server and out of public client-side code. Review the cost of each selected product first.
How should I handle rate limits?
Honor HTTP 429 and the returned retry guidance. Back off instead of immediately repeating the request. Choose bulk for genuine lists, not as a workaround for repeatedly rejected requests.
Request example
Illustrative request only. Use your own number and API key; live lookups may incur charges.
curl 'https://verirouteintel.com/api/v1/lrn' \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $VRI_API_KEY" \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"phone_number":"13364086644","lrn_only":true}'
