Enhanced LRN: carrier details for one number

Request enhanced LRN carrier and location fields through the existing single-number LRN API. Bulk is optional, not required for enhanced data.

Do enhanced LRN lookups require bulk?

No. POST /api/v1/lrn with phone_number and include_enhanced_lrn: true. You can request enhanced LRN for one number without using a batch or background job.

What does enhanced LRN tell me?

Enhanced LRN adds available carrier and location information. Missing fields are not proof of number safety or subscriber identity. Raw carrier classifications are preserved; a CLEC classification alone does not establish VoIP versus landline.

Can I combine it with CNAM, messaging or trust?

Yes. Add messaging_lookup, include_cnam or include_trust to the same single-number request. Review each product price below. Do not set lrn_only: true when requesting these additions.

Response Format

carrier_type preserves the returned carrier classification. Dashboard labels are simplified display categories. Read the carrier classification and CSV guide for code meanings and the limits of inferring VoIP versus landline.

Activation date: the lrn_activated_at field

Most lookup APIs tell you a number's current carrier. We also tell you when it last ported there. Every phone number is born on an original carrier; when it's ported, the lrn_activated_at timestamp records the date of that most recent port.

Example: a number issued by CenturyLink (Lumen) that the subscriber later ports to AT&T Wireless returns carrier: "AT&T Wireless" with an lrn_activated_at of the port date. A number that has never left its original carrier returns no lrn_activated_at (or its original activation date).

Use this timestamp as one input to porting-history review. It does not by itself establish a SIM swap, account takeover, or subscriber identity. Included free with every LRN lookup — no extra call, no extra charge. See the LRN Activation Date feature page.

Note: The lrn_activated_at field is optional and may not be present if the activation date is unavailable (e.g., a number that has never been ported, or where the carrier does not expose the date).

high: reputation_score >= 70 (trusted number)
medium: reputation_score 40-69 (some concerns)
low: reputation_score < 40 (likely spam/scam)
